As a bonafide Lip Balm junkie, I have to say, I no longer lust after the lip balms at the cosmetics counter, in line at the grocery, or when I see someone sliding emollient goodness across their lips.
I’ll have to admit though, I have pretty high expectations from a lip balm. It can’t dissolve my lip color. It can’t be greasy. It can’t drag across my lips as I apply it. I certainly don’t want a lip balm that I keep smelling throughout the day, but on the other hand, it should smell good when I apply it. I want it to last for hours, but I don’t want to feel it sitting on my lips either.
Finally, after years of trial and error in my studio kitchen, I’ve found what is, to me, the perfect lip balm. It moisturizes. It smells good. It lasts for hours. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
To purchase individual lip balms, go to the Skin Care > Lip Balm section. Each .15 oz lip balm is made to order for $2.95.
After creating new lip balms, I thought that there was NO way my Shea Butter soap recipe was going to escape modification. I’ve now completely changed the recipe for that as well, making it all natural and removing the silk protein for no reason other than, well, vegans prefer it that way and I know a lot of vegans.
As it turns out, this new soap formula is even more moisturizing than before and has the added benefit of no artificial ingredients!
The heavily fragranced soaps make every shower a delight as the bathroom fills with the scent of my favorite fragrances. I’ve even added a few aromatherapy blends to help with my ever-present sinus and allergy issues. (Gotta love living in a swamp.)
