Sunrise Sweater – A Sense of Accomplishment

In update to my last post, I finished the sweater.  This was my first attempt at dying and spinning enough wool to actually “make something”.  As it turns out, spinning enough yarn for a full sweater isn’t nearly as daunting a task as I thought it would be.

Upon completion, I realized that the colors, out of character for my wardrobe, reminded me of the sunrise when we were in New Mexico a couple years ago.  A theme I continually revisit.

Soon I hope to have the pattern available, but that is still in testing phase to make sure the various sizes work out just right.  Math.  An artists best friend. (Funny how the sarcasm just doesn’t translate in type the way I’d like it to).

Now I’m working on finishing a few other projects that languished while I played and also getting ready for the 4th Annual Defiance Lilac Festival which will take place in the streets of Downtown Defiance this Saturday from 10am – 5pm (sound like an advertisement?).
