Honestly, the times I feel a little less creative inspiration, I look back through my idea files. When I don't have time to get everything out during a creative maelstrom I jot notes, sketches, etc on anything handy...a piece of 2x4, the wall in the studio, scraps of paper, gas bills, whatever is handy. Those all go into a box and during a dry spell I rifle through. There is usually something in there to work with, and if not, I can always write about the process of going through old ideas!
